Edinburg Children's Hospital
Edinburg Children’s Hospital is the only hospital in the Rio Grande Valley just for kids. Its ER is staffed with specially trained pediatric nurses and physicians and supported by a dedicated team of pediatric intensivists, who manage the health of the sickest children. The hospital’s asthma program is certified by The Joint Commission and includes a growing number of pediatric subspecialists.
Edinburg Regional Medical Center
Edinburg Regional Medical Center has the only ER just for adults, and its Senior Care ER rooms offer special amenities for seniors. Edinburg Regional’s ER is an accredited chest pain center and primary stroke center, and offers advanced imaging capabilities with its 3T MRI. Patients can benefit from minimally invasive robotic surgery and recover in the hospital’s VIP suites or in the recently remodeled inpatient rehabilitation unit.
McAllen Heart Hospital
McAllen Heart Hospital’s ER accommodates all emergencies, but specializes in cardiac emergencies. As an accredited chest pain center with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), McAllen Heart Hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiac care using advanced technology such as its hybrid operating suite, the Impella Heart Pump and specialized imaging equipment.
McAllen Medical Center
McAllen Medical Center is a designated Level III Trauma Center for Hidalgo County, a certified primary stroke center, an accredited chest pain center, and has an accredited knee replacement program. The ER at McAllen Medical Center treats people of all ages.
STHS ER at Mission
STHS ER at Mission serves western Hidalgo County, making emergency care more convenient to local residents. The facility is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, is staffed by experienced ER nurses and physicians, and can treat any emergency, big or small. Online scheduling and online wait times make coming to STHS ER at Mission easier than ever. Outpatient services are also available.
STHS ER at Weslaco
STHS ER at Weslaco serves the Mid-Valley area with around-the-clock emergency care in a convenient setting. STHS ER at Weslaco is a full-service emergency room capable of treating life-threatening injuries and chest pain in addition to minor, but urgent, issues. Radiology and lab equipment are on-site, so Mid-Valley residents don’t have to leave their community to get the service they need. Outpatient services also are available.
STHS ER Monte Cristo
The STHS ER Monte Cristo provides emergency care 24 hours per day, 365 days per year and is staffed with the same medical personnel and equipped with the same diagnostic technology available in South Texas Health System’s hospital-based emergency rooms.
