The facility is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, is staffed by ER nurses and physicians, and can treat all types of emergencies. We invite you to celebrate with us as we mark STHS ER Mission's five years of service to the community. The event will include refreshments, health screenings, and guided tours. Elected officials, business leaders and members of fire/rescue will be on hand. Raffle items will be provided for wellness screenings and cardiac calcium scores.

The American College of Cardiology has awarded South Texas Health System ER Mission with the Freestanding Emergency Department Cardiac Care Certificate. Facilities that earn this certification are held to a higher standard of care and service for patients experiencing cardiac-related symptoms, such as chest pain, rapid heart rate and dizziness. South Texas Health System ER Mission, as well as South Texas Health System ER Weslaco and South Texas Health System ER Monte Cristo, are the first freestanding emergency departments in Texas to earn this certification.
