Pathology at McAllen Medical Center
 The Department of Pathology offers a wide range of diagnostic services in anatomic pathology that includes frozen section diagnosis, surgical pathology, cytology, cytogenetics, and immunohistochemistry. In areas of surgical pathology, gastrointestinal pathology, breast and gynecological and renal pathology are three of the busiest subspecialties, both for inpatient and external consulting work. Pathologists at McAllen Medical Center have been at the forefront in the diagnosis and analysis of inflamatory, infectious, and neoplastic diseases.
