McAllen Medical Center serves one of the nation’s fastest-growing regions with advanced, high-quality services. The 441-bed hospital is home to the Valley’s only transplant center, has a certified primary stroke center, and is contracted with the federal Veterans Administration to provide services to area veterans. Among services available at the hospital are advanced wound care, maternity care, including a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, neurosurgery and orthopedics. The hospital is designated as an advanced Level III Trauma Center for Hidalgo County.

Edinburg Children’s Hospital is the first and only hospital in the Rio Grande Valley built just for kids.
